Mary Jane Duff
Marketing / Client Services

Mary Jane grew up on a grain and livestock farm in central Missouri and worked in the family livestock auction business. With a solid base of agricultural experience, she is particularly skilled in translating marketing objectives to workable, manageable plans of action. Her client experience at The Duff Company is wide and deep, with such companies as Bayer, Luitpold Pharmaceutical, Land O’ Lakes, Boehringer Ingelheim, AgriLabs, FiberMax Cotton and others.

Prior to joining forces with Jerry at The Duff Company in 1987, Mary Jane served in a variety of positions with Fletcher/Mayo/Associates - ranging from account executive and public relations editor to vice president/management supervisor - and supervised Union Carbide’s multimillion dollar account. Under her leadership, Union Carbide was recognized for its unique and cost-effective marketing communications programs. Other client experience includes DeKalb-Pfizer Genetics, Mobay Animal Health and Tensar Polytechnologies.

Mary Jane also gained valuable insight into government programs and agribusiness through her four-year association with the USDA/Agricultural Stabilization & Conservation Service and the University of Missouri Extension Service. She earned her bachelor’s degree in home economics journalism and a master’s degree in agriculture communications with an emphasis in agricultural economics at the University of Missouri.

South African operators of the world’s deepest gold mine pump chilled air 3-1/3 miles below the surface to help miners endure sweltering temperatures. New technology may help them mine gold at depths where temperatures reach a blistering 158 F. Like the gold miners, we at The Duff Company welcome the challenge of going deeper to mine more from markets through new technology.
